Outdoor Activities
A jagged, rocky coastline, deep blue waves with foamy backwash, and luscious sandy beaches dotted with vibrant rosa rugosa. Falmouth is a town known for its landscape’s bountiful beauty, so what better way to experience the town than by engaging in activities that allow you to connect with the ethereal outdoors? Below we’ve included some of our favorite outdoor activities that Falmouth has to offer.
Take to the Shining Sea Bikeway
The Shining Sea Bikeway is a paved bike path right in 75 Locust’s backyard! This 10.7 mile stretch is suitable for bikers and bladers of all skill levels. Corner Cycle is a great place for you and the family to rent some bikes if you don’t want to bring them with you!
Go for a Hike at the Knob
The Knob is one of the best places on all of Cape Cod for a hike (specifically a sunset one). This rocky hill overlooking Buzzards Bay is a sanctuary for nature lovers looking to spend their quality time in the great outdoors.
Visit Nobska Lighthouse
This picturesque Beacon of light is situated between Buzzards Bay, Nantucket Sound, and Vineyard Sound. Technically located in Woods Hole, Nobska Point Light offers spectacular views, a fascinating history, and the perfect backdrop for a family photo! Walk around the perimeter, enjoy the beautifully crisp salt air, and relish in the glory of one of Cape Cod’s most notable landmarks!
Take a Trip with a Charter Captain
What better way to get acquainted with the Upper Cape Area than by spending the day with a true Cape Cod local?! Indulge in an afternoon out at sea and book a trip with a charter captain! Not only will the charter captain offer you an authentic experience like no other, you’ll also get to take home a fresh catch to cook from the comfort of 75 Locust’s kitchen!
